Diabetic foot ulcer: a case study

Prevalence of diabetic complications is a burden to the society in the present. Number of amputation and deaths associated with it are increasing day by day; such facts urge to clinicians and researchers to develop more effective wound treatments for patients suffering from diabetic non healing wounds. A male patient, 48 years old, who was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus over ten years, presented with a non-healing ulcer since two months. He was treated for Dusta vrana (a non-healing wound) using both internal and externally Ayurvedic therapies. The wound healed fully after four months.

Avifaunal diversity of gharana wetland conservation reserve in relation to their feeding habits

The present piece of work has been conducted (2022) on Gharana Wetland (Reserve) in order to observe avifaunal diversity and their feeding guilds. During this study, 19 species of wetland birds belonging to 16 families and 9 orders were reported from the study area. Out of 9 orders, Charadriiformes and Passeriformes dominated the community of wetland birds in the studied area, represented by 4 and 4 species, respectively.

A rare case report of gastrointestinal autonomic nerve tumour

Gastrointestinal autonomic nerve tumors (GANT) are rare tumors linked to the autonomic nervous plexuses in the gastrointestinal tract. Distinguishing them from s tromal tumors involves examining their unique ultra structural features, often through electron microscopy and immunohistochemical analysis. Despite their slow growth, they tend to have an aggressive clinical course and are often associated with a poor prognosis, frequently leading to fatalities. Here we present a case of 35 year old female presenting in the pain abdomen, loss of weight and appetite.

The effect of the ensure®nutritional supplement on the sex ratio in drosophila melanogaster

A The nutritional diet is one of the important external environmental factor that affects on the growth and development, stress resistance , survival ability, reproduction and also alters the sex ratio. In the present study the flies of Drosophila melanogaster were cultured in the wheat cream agar media, mixed and Ensure® media, to understand the effect of ensure nutritional supplement on the sex ratio in Drosophila melanogaster. The results revealed that, female offspring were more than the male offspring in all three diets.
