Calcium Mono-Therapy Supplement Use Among Patients Treated For Bone Fractures In A Tertiary Hospital, Southwest Nigeria

Fractures healed normally independent of dietary calcium for the first few weeks of healing. Adequacy of serum calcium level is important, but unusual high intake does not appear to speed up fracture healing process, rather it could have deleterious effect on the cardiovascular system. Complex multi-nutrient do reduce complications in fracture management whereas Non-steroidal anti- inflammatory drugs and Cox-2 inhibitor drugs impaired fracture healing.

A Review On Copper Oxide Thin Films

Copper oxide films have direct band gap of about 1.2 to 2.6eV. They could be used in many applications including solar cell, sensor and optoelectronic industry. The aim of this work is to investigate the properties of copper oxide thin films under various deposition methods. The obtained results based on the structure, optical, morphology and electrical properties are discussed. The overall results found that different researchers have reported different properties of copper oxide based on experimental conditions.

Values And Satisfaction With Life Among Males And Females Working In Areas Which Have So Far, Been Dominated By Males

Research indicated to find gender difference and correlation on values and satisfaction with life among males and females working in areas which have, so far been dominated by males. A purposive sample of 130 employees (65 males & 65 females, with age ranging from 20 to 40 years, with minimum education S.S.C.) was selected from manufacturing units, State Transport Buses, petrol pumps, Pune, Maharashtra, India. They responded to Comprehensive Value Scale by Agarwal (2013) and Satisfaction with Life Scale by Diener & Pavot (2006).

Supramolecular 4- -(Ω-Hydroxyalkyloxy)-4’-Cyanoazoxybenzenes

Herein we discuss physical properties of 4-(ω-hydroxyalkoxy)-4’-cyanoazoxybenzene homologs.1D and 2D correlation NMR spectroscopy (in particular,1Н, 15 N-HMBC experiment) have allowed elucidation of structure of the prepared rod-like supramolecular cyanoazoxybenzenes. Mesomorphic properties of the compounds have been studied by means of polarization thermomicroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. All the studied cyanoazoxybenzenes have revealed enantiotropic nematic mesomorphism over wide temperature range.
