Study To Assess The Correlation Of Internet Addiction With Depression, Anxiety And Stress Among College Students At A Selected College Of Delhi University With A View To Develop An Information Booklet On Internet Addiction

A descriptive survey design with quantitative approach was used to collect data from 200 undergraduate and postgraduate college students at selected college of Delhi University to assess the relationship of internet addiction with depression, anxiety and stress. The data was collected in the month of February 2017 using standardized IAT (Internet Addiction Test) and DASS (Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scales).

Rural Indian women are extensively involved in agricultural activities. However, the nature and extent of their involvement differs with the variations in agro-production systems. As globalization shifts from agriculture to capital intensive, women bear disproportionate costs of both displacement and health hazards. Occupational dust exposures have been associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes. It is not definite whether it is due to the preservatives such as pesticides or other agents like pentachlorophenol, creosote, formaldehyde, chromium, arsenic, etc.

One of the most important building materials in civil engineering projects is concrete, which is being extensively used all around the world. However, there concerns in the use of concrete in construction attempts regarding its mechanical properties and durability in different settings and environments. Therefore, there has been a great incentive to find out some ways to improve these properties in concretes. One of the most popular ways, at least in theoretical attempts, is the use of Nano-silica in production of concretes.

Assessment Of The Knowledge, Awareness And Perception Of Gynecology And Obstetrics Residents Regarding The Association Between Preterm Low Birth Weight And Periodontitis

Aims: To assess the knowledge, awareness and perception of gynecology and obstetrics residents regarding periodontal disease as a risk factor in PLBW.

Methods and Material: A structured questionnaire was prepared. It was filled by residents of gynecology from 2 colleges. The knowledge and awareness of the effects of periodontal disease on outcome of pregnancy were correlated with their practices. A total of 55 residents were approached and voluntarily participated and filled up the questionnaire.

Evaluation Of Invitro Anticancer Activity Of Selected Mangrove Plant Extracts Against Mcf7 Cell Line

Since many years, plants were known to posses anticancer activities against different cancer cell lines. In the present paper, we report a study based on anticancer properties of five mangrove plants Avicennia marina, Avicennia officinalis, Calophyllum inophyllum, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, and Aegiceras corniculatum. The leaves of these plants were collected, shade dried and extracted with methanol as a solvent. Anti cancer activity was assayed with standard MTT colorimetric procedure against MCF-7 cell line.

Knowledge And Orientation Of Medical Interns Toward Periodontal Disease

Aim: To assess knowledge and orientations of medical interns, we will be surveying incoming internal medical interns about their general knowledge, attitudes, about periodontal health and disease.

Methods and Material: 152 medical interns from all medical colleges in Vadodara city were included in this cross sectional study. All of them were provided with a printed questionnaire and were asked to fill those forms. These forms were collected as soon as they completed answering all questions.

Background: Chronic bronchitis and asthma both are the condition with obstructive airflow limitation. The exercise tolerance in both the condition is markedly reduced.
