Abstract: 

Cinema is an important form of entertainment in society, and multiple films with themes related to mental illness have been produced overall world. The basic purpose of present survey research was find out the number movies based on mental disorders in all worldwide cinemas in 1942 to 2016, and lists and analyses films which describe mental disorders, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, dissociative disorders and personality disorders etc. In during modernization, the increasing rate of movies to presentation of mental disorders. It concluded that media has strongly influence on presentation of mental disorders as in vice-versa.
